Lee County Community Service Grant Presentation

February 16, 2009 - Senator Ted Little announced Community Service Grants in excess of $90,000.00 in a ceremony held at the Opelika City Commission Chambers in Opelika, Alabama. In addition, Senator Little presented the Certified Lee County Volunteer Fire Departments grants on behalf of the Alabama Forestry Commission totaling $5,645,15 and gave notice that the State Department of Education was able to channel equal amounts for a total of $85,500.00 in Fiscal Year 2007-2008 to Auburn City Schools, Opelika City Schools and Lee County Schools at Senator Little’s encouragement.
