Auburn University College of Education Grant Check Presentation
Senator Little presented a $5000 community service grant check to the Auburn University College of Education to be designated by AU to the AU Educational Foundations Leadership and Technology, where the funds are to be used by the joint project between the Auburn University Educational Foundations Leadership and Technology and the East Alabama Inservice Center, in order to better provide support to the area's school systems' leadership needs. The project will begin by exploring the comprehensive nature of curriculum development as it relates to education reform, in particular, accountability. It is planned to invite various experts to help give seminars and workshops to the 15 school systems that are served by the EARIC and the EFLT, free of charge. As follow-up, the project will plan a series of face-to-face meetings as well as a continuous online Blackboard Chat Room to promote discussion throughout the year. The project will target how the leaders are using the information at their local schools/systems and how they are using their knowledge of curriculum and instruction in the school improvement planning process.
